Rent space on our 39-acre campus located in historic Concord, Massachusetts, just 18 miles from Boston and minutes from I-95 or Route 2

Philosophy

It is the philosophy of Concord Academy to permit external agencies and community groups to rent CA’s facilities under the following conditions:

Use of the facilities and/or space is in accord with the mission and goals of Concord Academy and does not disrupt the school’s instructional or daily activities.

The group or agency making a request adheres to a non-discriminatory policy in membership, goals, and activities on the basis of personal beliefs or characteristics such as political views, religion, national or ethnic origin, race, color, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disabilities. Further, the services of the group or agency are beneficial to the community-at-large.

CA’s facilities may be rented to profit-making entities for training or other purposes, provided that the rental is not for retail purposes. Not-for-profit entities may utilize rented facilities for fundraising purposes.

Scope

Concord Academy facilities are available for use by CA families, employees, and external groups. General Requirements for Renting Facilities

A representative of the group or organization desiring to use Concord Academy’s facility must submit a rental application to Kevan Turman, Associate Head for Community Engagement and Business Development, at least 4 weeks prior to the desired date. There will be a rental facilities fee and additional fees if maintenance and/or security help is required. Concord Academy reserves the right to accept or decline any applicant, and reserves the right to require a background check of any prospective applicant. Concord Academy facilities may not be used for programs/activities deemed likely to damage the school grounds/equipment or for use to promote private, profit-making enterprises. Additional guidelines are outlined in the facilities use agreement which will be provided to all renters.

The following items are required for contract approval for scheduling an event at the Concord Academy;

• A completed rental application
• A signed facilities agreement.
  • Lessee shall, at its own expense, secure, carry, and maintain a commercial general liability insurance policy defending, indemnifying, and fully insuring Concord Academy against any claim based on bodily injury (including death and sexual molestation or abuse, in an amount of no less than $1,000,000 for each occurrence with an aggregate liability limit of no less than $3,000,000) or property damage arising out of Lessee’s use of the premises, including damage caused by fire or other casualty, in an amount of no less than $1,000,000 for each occurrence involving bodily injury (including death and sexual molestation or abuse and $250,000 for each occurrence involving damage to property, with an aggregate liability limit of no less than $3,000,000. The policy (ies) secured and maintained by Lessee shall name “Concord Academy” as an additional insured, shall be provided on an occurrence basis, and shall be primary to and not contributory with any insurance carried by Concord Academy, whose insurance shall be considered excess.

The facilities available for rental are located at 166 Main Street, Concord, MA 01742, as well on our nearby athletic field and include:

• Three international squash courts
• Gymnasium consists of two basketball courts, each with six baskets and two NCAA volleyball courts
• Chapel
• Music rooms
• Dance studio
• Athletic Campus with soccer, lacrosse fields and six tennis courts
• Theater
• Two turf fields with dimensions of 100 x 57 yards, lined for field hockey, soccer, and men’s and women’s lacrosse
• Dining hall facilities (May be rented in conjunction with other facilities. Kitchen not included.)
• Classrooms
• Shower and locker rooms are not available for rental
