Dwayne Powell took on the role of girls varsity basketball Coach at CA in 2022, bringing with him five years of experience coaching at the varsity level. Since joining the team, he has made it his mission to change the basketball program’s culture entirely. He has a passion for teaching the fundamentals of the game. Dwayne’s coaching philosophy focuses on inspiring young people to become their best selves through the game of basketball. “The game teaches us so many life lessons, both during practices and games,” he says. “What I love most about coaching at CA is the student body and their supportive nature towards one another. It’s an extraordinary feeling to enter the gym and see your classmates rooting for you.”
